air conditioner problem from newbie

air conditioner problem from newbie

i have a 1994 xj6 4.0 and the air doesn't go on at all. no fan or compressor. what might the problems be? thank you for any help in this matter.the lights do go on on the console but no action.thanks again

My knee jerk reaction is the head unit. They are a common failure. I could be the ECU, but that's expensive, so let's hope not!
