What type of ATF is required for the transmission on my 1987 XJ6? I don't want to use the wrong fluid and ruin it.

P.S. What shop manuals do I need? I would like to get the complete official set (engine, transmission, electrical, body, etc.). Are they by Daimler? A used set is fine. They will be work books, not collectibles. I don't want CD's. WNL

 

I had mine serviced at Jaguar dealership & they added Dexron II

Sounds reasonable. That is pretty much standard anymore. Even in 1987 it was used a lot.
