Question Brake Pad Sensor Missing

The PAD warning was showing on my 1990 XJ6, so I was going to replace the pads. When I pulled the wheel and checked the pads, there was plenty of pad, but there is no sensor. When there is no sensor, and no sensor wiring to connect into the wiring harness, will the PAD code show? If so, is there a jumper that can be installed to turn off the PAD warning?

The chassis harness terminates at a bracket adjacent to the upper ball joint, LF only. Two pin socket, jump them to extinguish the warning light.

Fix it correctly with the sensor lead that plugs into the chassis harness socket, should be no more than a $25 item. The business end just clips into a cutout on the brake pad backing plate.

Thanks for the feedback. There is a Jaguar shop here in Tulsa with a parts department. I'll check with them this week.

Purchased the sensor wire and installed same. Cost was $21.00 plus tax. All is good in my world.
