Engine/Drive line Swap
Well, I lost my Kitty ('92 VDP) to a Lincoln Town Car last week. Loaned the Jag to Mom when her Volvo died and she got rear ended. Insurance company offered 3 grand for the car (total and they get the car) and I said ... well what I said can't be printed here only DON'T DEAL WITH NATIONWIDE INSURANCE!!!!!!
Now for the real question. I have a '36 Cord 810 Convertable that I am converting to a Resto-Rod and I'd like to move the engine and driveline from the Jag to the Cord (the Cord was converted to RWD in '56). Is there any decent guide book available to show how to swap the engine over without too much screaming and gnashing of teeth? I'm not worried about the mechanical part, I've swapped engines around before, but the electronics, computers, and controls cause me some major concerns. I'm also planning to move the IRS from the Jag to the Cord and it has the hydraulic suspension. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
