engine running but
hello guys. I 've got a problem. I have a 1991 xj40 sovereign with 90k miles.
This am, I was going uphill when it started loosing power and stopped moving (engine still running), then it picked up again and i made it uphill. It had happened before when running at a flat surface as well.
Background: Itstarts right up, battery'sabout 2 yrs old, new fuel pump, sometimes, the engine light indic will come on, this started about 6 or 8 months ago (it saysFUS 1). Also, it has a little leak of power steering fluid that I know how to fix. Other than that, I don't have anything else to say.

Is it manual or automatic? If it's manual it could be a slipping clutch. If it's automatic, it could be a faulty torque converter or a bad transmission. Try to elaborate a little bit more on the symptoms so that we can better help you.
