Front Springs Replace?
I will soon be changing out the lower ball joints in my '90 Majestic with 123,000 miles. I believe that any repair made on a car with age and mileage ALL parts removed should be replaced with new. I am planning on replacing the front springs with new. Is it worth the effort? I'm inclined to think it is and I appreciate a second opinion.
Thanks,
Roger

From a safety standpoint, you would need a spring compressor anyway, if only to hold it while you change the joints. The times I have used the compressor have been stressful but successful. Once you are in that far, its not harder to change them. Are the springs available at the moment?
Is the front sagging? Seems excessive to me at that mileage, but whatever. I wouldn't change them - I think I must still have a pair from my parts car in the stash - that car only had 60-odd thousand miles on it.
If you can't find any I'd be up for selling mine.

I'm not having any problems with them and my car doesn't appear to be sagging. The only reason I'm considering their replacement is age. My car was built in August of '89.
Thank you for the reply.
