I had some issues a few months back with my fuel system and Lawence turned me on to a thread about putting an aftermarket fuel check valve. My car was leaking fuel back through the pump and causing a mild hard start condition. Usually would crank after a two cycles of the pump. Really not that big of a deal, but was mildly annoying. I ran it this way for about 3 months, before the engine swap and it still is works like a charm. Below is the mod if any of you are interested.
Pull the tank. The D clips for the lines just rotate Don't remove! I replaced them because when I removed them they were to bent to work well. The fuel check valve came from a local speed shop. I didn't remember the size of the fuel lines. so I got two types of barb fittings. They are 5/16 FYI. The D clips and the fuel line O-rings came from Jagbits Pull the module This is the old pressure line. I tried to keep the same angle with the added length of the check valve. The diagram in the manual is not correct. the pressure side is the brass fitting Reinstall the module in tank. Make sure the fuel sender has room to travel. I had to bend mine out of the way slightly. Replace o-rings one line These clips are not intuitive until you see them out. just rotate 90deg and pull. DO NOT REMOVE, or you will probably develop a leak at some point.
Happy wrenching!
Neil
