Fuel Filler Lid

I have buyed a Jaguar XJ40 1992 with 6 cylinder engine.
I can't open the fuel filler lid.

If somebody know what is the device.. Please help me !

There should be a switch to the left hand side around the hinges .Push down the carpet and see if its there . (whitish color stuff ) When you press it your filler cap should be relased .

I have got a advice from someone. If I buy a new control circuit for this lock will operate. The parts in here www.all4jags.com
What do you think about this ?
