Default Great experience with a vendor

I can't remember what the rules are here but I was looking for a NEW hood emblem for my Vanden Plas and it has been hard to find new ones. Any way I looked around and found it on ...bits and there was no picture. Because of that I made sure to put in my order to check to make sure it was the correct one (I had a part number but wasn't 100% sure that was right). Within 10 minutes of the order one of the staff there CALLED ME went over exactly how it looked and how it mounted to make sure that was the part I wanted.

I have never had a company call me to ensure they got it right and that I got it right.

I will definitely use them again. Moderators if I can mention the name here let me know I would love to give them a shout out. I am in no way affiliated with them. I always like to give props when they are due.

It wasn't Paul's Jaguar in Florida, was it? Best customer relations I've had thus far. But there are others who go above and beyond! Far as I'm concerned, they should always get good press! (But, I'm not a moderator, so...)

Rutty,

Good to hear you sourced an emblem for your VdP. Trim items are the first to disappear from Jaguar inventory at around ten years after a model has finished production and become increasingly difficult to find as dealer stocks run out.

As you probably know, the forum is funded by sponsors who are the only ones allowed to do direct advertising. However, when a member has received good service, there is no reason why the supplier's name and address cannot be mentioned or recommended. The only thing to avoid is a direct link to their website (a commercial link) or making it an advertisement!

As promised I got my growler bonnet emblem in today and I cant for the life of me figure out how the thing stays on. The previous owner had a plug where the old stolen one was but the new one just has a post and no screws or anything. Anyone have a writeup of how to attach the dern thing? I searched and only xj8 topics.
