Default Help Identifying a Component

The car is a 90 VDP. Does anyone else have one of these in their car? If so what is it and what does it do?

Looks like the old timey radar detectors. Look for antenna units in front and rear (sometimes part of the license plate frame)

Searching the net... GUL detectors were related to Bel-tronics detectors. Built in the 80s.
If not part of the license plate frame, check behind the grill or maybe a non-functional fog light.

Thanks. I will check those locations, the lights aren't working on it, but it's all there. So is the phone!
