Default Intro and question on Daimler xj40

Dear forum members, congratulations on your work.

I am a middle-aged Italian guy and would like to fulfill my dream of owning a Jaguar.

I have found this 1991 Daimler for which I enclose photographs. The car has manual transmission and 4.0 engine , interior is grey leather in need of maintenance work.

This is my first experience with classic cars, I have no mechanics experience so I will need to find someone to look after the car .

My aim is to keep it in the garage and use it sometimes for pleasure.

Do you have any advice to share ? it looks just beautiful to me

I hope to be soon a Jaguar Daimler owner

Thank you and have a nice day

Welcome Q, that Looks like a very nice car, And the manual transmission is very unusual in them. That said, if you plan to have someone else fix it for you, then you should make sure there is someone available for the purpose. I do 90% of my own work, and I know that there are shops near me who won't touch a Jaguar simply because it is, and because they don't have to. All other considerations as usual, rust, mileage, history should count too. Good luck!
