Talking Judas was a Saint Compared to Me!

Fellow Jaguar devotees, I have done the unthinkable: I have traded my 1991 XJ40 Sovereign in on a 1999 XKR X100 and am now lost in a sea of uncertainty - on the one hand I am sad and ashamed over my traitorship towards the old darling, while on the other hand I am elated, overjoyed, ecstatic at my purchase of my new grand tourer.

I am also saddened by the fact that I am no longer entitled to your most excellent companionship. However, progress is progress, and the XKR is Bloody wondrous!

Farewell all, I now move to other pastures.

Tim (Rosspot) Ross.
1999 XKR X100.

Tim,

Enjoy the XKR and don't forget to help out your old friends in XJ40 section from time to time.

Just because you've sold the car doesn't mean you forgotten all the tips and tricks!

So I just bought my first xj40 and you have moved on, albeit to a jag far nicer than the latest model and in my mind the nicest shape since the e-type. Like ships that pass in the night...

You can run, but you can't hide Rosspot.

We'll find you no matter where you are on the forum.

Congrat's on the XKR, a worthy move.

Tim:
congrats on the purchase. I recently let go of an XJ40 in favor of an X308 (although i still have the '91...) and haven't looked back. YOu'll really enjoy the new car. If the tensioners haven't been done, do them now.

Cheers and thanks for sharing!
Scott

Let me see if i understand this. You feel like a traitor because you traded a Jag for... Another Jag? Seems kind of self serving. Why not do what I did. Dont trade it, keep it. Course my "new" one is not quite back on the road yet...
Congrats. Jerry.
