Hi,
recently I restored my 1994 XJ40 alternator, and now the key switch/ignition switch fuse blows. Everything else works perfectly.

Has anyone had any experience of this?

Hi again,

I've narrowed down my problem a bit. The fuse that blows is the C4 on the left hand; Keylock / Gearshift interlock. And it only blows when I change from P to D.

Here is a diagram showing rougly where my problem is, but I don't know exactly what happens when I go to D;
