Newbie with fuel gauge problem
Hi all. New to the forum so just saying hello......but as I'm here: I have a faulty fuel gauge on my 1992 XJ40 Sovereign. Seems to be a wiring fault as sometimes when I turn the ignition it registers correctly, at others sits on empty (even when full). I'm taking her in shortly for a bit of maintenance but in the meantime, any suggestions? Cheers.

RE: Newbie with fuel gauge problem
Hey david, welcome to the forum.
See you've got your problem sorted.......great.
If you're looking for parts Kens usually a good bet........and If you have a " handy Jagman" who is he and where is he?....lol
Might also be able to help a few others here depending on where he's based

RE: Newbie with fuel gauge problem
Hey XJ40ish how much fuel does your tank hold.
My gas is wierd, idk if this is like a electrical problem, but my computer tell me I have 0 range left, when the fuel gauge shows that I have liek 1/8 of a tank left. And often I can only put in liek 17.5 gallons of gas, so maybe I have more fuel that my CPU doesnt know about. When I bought the car I thought it had liek a 22 gallon tank, but it appears to only be liek 18.
