Default Obd 1

I am in the process of having my 1992 XJ6/XJ40 restored. Does anyone know how to get a connector to attach the OBD 1 to a diagnostic computer and also which software is needed. Thanks

You will need a JDS or PDU.
I doubt you will find a working unit at any Jag dealers.
You might find one used and try to get it operating.

You can read ECM, TCM and ABS with the Jaguar diagnostic computers.

Good Luck

Default Initials?

What do all the initials represent? I have a 94 XJ40 and was wondering how to read any codes?
I am sure my OBDII reader is useless!

You can read your ECM DTCs with the VCM button on the steering column panel.

To interrogate the trans and brakes you need a Jaguar diagnostic computer.

Jaguar support for PDU ended in 2001.

Nothing was offered to replace it.
