Default Paint Repair

I have to repair some paint on all doors of my '90 U.S. spec Majestic. The color code is CF4 - Regency Red Metallic polyurethane base coat clear coat.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to approach this? I would prefer to use my air brush as I have several small areas to repair.

Thanks,
Roger

I have rattle cans of urethane (acrylic) good color match and clear but the clear yellows as soon as it's sprayed on. I'll buy a small quantity of 2 part color and clear.

I've had good success with the clearcoat product from automotivetouchup.com, which is an acrylic lacquer. It has worked well on wheels and electric guitars I have refinished and I haven't noticed it yellowing at all. It produces a factory-level gloss right out of the can, but also responds well to wet sanding to 2000 or 3000 grit and then bringing to a mirror gloss with polishing compound.

They also have a 2K urethane clearcoat that I intend to try the next time I refinish wheels.

Typical disclaimers, no affiliation, etc.

Cheers,

Don
