Default Project Jag Almost Done

It's been a busy month since I bought it sorting out some rust issues, quite a few minor issues like fixing the crazy intermittent wiper (turned out to be the small relay on the wiper motor) and swapping out the driver's side power motors so that I can move forward or back and a few other things. The OEM deck is out and was replaced with the deck I had in my '90 XJ6 that I lost to an oak tree. All the Philips speakers have been swapped out for a blend of Boston and Alpine speakers. I put a Kenwood powered 8" sub on the back parcel shelf between the headrests. While it doesn't boom it sure did improve the base that the mighty 4" speakers produced. Next up are new wheels and tires and I have a wheel adapter on order from Nardi that I will use to install a 14" NRG steering wheel. I sure that I will find refinements to do as time passes but now it's time to get this big cat on the road

I usually don't care for silver cars as they are so common. But the Jag in silver frost looks awesome! I like the chromed lattice wheels too, but there are other nice possibilities. Will you be going with different style Jaguar wheels? Interested in the steering wheel upgrade too.

That thing looks great! I actually really like the color. Those basket weave wheels look good on there, what kind of wheels are you looking to switch to?

Thanks. Got to love night photos with rain. Anything will look good. If you got a close-up look at the wheels, you'd see lots of pitting and flaking. I am going to have them sand blasted and rattle can a new color scheme and use these 15 inchers as my winter wheels. I don't know if these were original to the car. I say that because the center bore on the wheel doesn't really quite properly seat itself onto the hub when you first place the rim onto the hub, before the lugs are tightened. As far as my new rims, I am not a purist so I have settled on a 17" Cragar wanna-bees. The steering wheel will be a throw-back to the 70s being a 14" black leather, 3 spoke with 2 holes in each spoke. I want to give the old girl a little sporty look. I am also going to install a set of fog lights. Of course, more pics will come.
