Hey Folks.
the expansion tank on my Jag is leaking at the seam, from what I have read there was a recall on these decades ago. long over I am sure.
anyways, it is tank model number MMB 4400 AA

where can I get a new one at a decent price, current prices are around $440.
bottom center black tank in photo.
is there a alternative that can be used?

The tank is a little different on the X305 but this repair method would probably work for yours too. No use paying so much for a used tank that might have the same problem.

I had thought of doing this but was unsure.
now that I have seen the those photo's I will give it a try, since the tank already leeks I have nothing to lose.
