Default Reliability.

Hello, I am planning on taking my Jaguar to Germany in May and dont know how reliable these cars are I have a 3.6 straight-six in mine I dont know haven't taken it so far from home yet and just dont know. If anyone had any problems or comments on reliability of these engines please tell me.

I have the 4.0 and she does well on the highway. Where u traveling to Germany from? Some things i have read is bring a spare crank sensor and ofcourse some basic tools. A full service wouldn't hurt either. A bit more info might help, millage, previous probs if any, etc.

I owned a '88 w/ 3.6 engine , it was solid I don't remember that engine never let me down aside from suspension problems but that's a different issue

Best thing would be to take her to your tech and let them know where you are going. Most likely they will give it a fluid change and send ya on your way. Ill try and find the post i read about the crank sensor spare and why you should bring one.
