Default Removed the snow tires

I am so glad winter is over and I replaced the snow tires back to the Michelin all seasons. While they did the job in the snow they are horrendous on the pavement. Bad enough that if I had driven the car for the first time with them I would have suspected something was wrong and not bought it. That bad.

Spring is here.

Ha! Same exact feelings here. Today might be the day to put my Dunlops back on. I have a brand new set of General Altimax Arctic's and while they're pretty amazing in snow, they're way too soft on hard pavement and wander all over the road. Keeping the car straight on the highway becomes work, and the steering feels like mush.

I've tried bumping up pressures to 40psi, hoping that would stiffen them up a bit, but it hardly had any effect.

I have the snows mounted to a dedicated set of 15" Roulette wheels, my regular tires, Dunlop SP50's are mounted to the original 15" Teardrops that came with the car.

Spring is finally here!

Nick

Nick

The rear end shimmies like a stripper on a pole was how I described it to a friend and after driving it he agreed.
