Default Springs

Is there a method of checking for worn springs, such as measuring the height of the car at some point (taking into account wheel size)?
Not that I believe I have a problem, but I would like to be able to check them as part of my routine maintenance regime.

Thanks.

Provided you are sitting on stock rims and tires the front end, I think it is 14.5 inches from the center of the rim to the arch of the fender. It is 14.5 or 15.5 . I forget. Others will chime in with the correct info. My car is an 03, may be diff for other years?

Stock height from center of wheel cap to bottom of wheel arch is 15.74.

If the top shock mount is bad, it will lower the measurement maybe 1/2" or so. Bad bottom shock bushing can account for another 1/4" - 1/2". When you start getting below 14.5", then your coils are getting suspect.

These are front coil comments. The rears are the same height when stock, but the parts mentioned play (somewhat) less of a role.

p.s. wheel size is not a factor since you are measuring from the center of the hub.
