Default Resetting "code" on stereo

OK, first order is to get the stereo working in my 94 xj6. I turn it on and the word "code," comes up, it wont do anything. How do I reset that?

The code may be handwritten in your vehicle's owners manual. There are also some cars that have the code written on a piece of tape in the engine compartment.

Good luck.

+1^ It is a 4 digit code that you punch in using the 1-6 buttons. Careful though, 3 strikes and you are out.

If you can't find the code a trip to a Jaguar Dealer with the car and proof of ID and ownership and they should be able to sort things out.

I found the owners manual, and took your advice, Radio Works. Thank you!
