Default Sad news on the Jag front

Hi friends,

Recently my family had to return to China for family matters, whilst this is not a sad thing what is sad is that this little adventure left us a little short of funds for normal living expenses while we were gone for the month.
That is to say, even though we were away, we still had all the obvious bills still coming in as well as the added expenses of airfares/travel and living costs in China. Along with all the traditional red envelopes etc.

And so it is with deep regret that I am posting here tonight to let you know I have had to sell my pride and joy to make ends meet

Whilst I got what I consider a decent price for her, it deeply pained me to see her go.

I can only hope that I shall at some time in the future find another one at a price I can again afford.

I will and I hope I am still welcome to... pop in and check out the posts and try to offer advice where I can.

That's about all I have for tonight.
goodnight

Bob, thanks for your post

I'm sorry to hear your predicament, unfortunately times are tough for many of us right now.
Hopefully she went to a good home.

Please know that Jag owner or not, you will always be made to feel welcome here and I do hope you still visit, sharing your thoughts / knowledge.

Best wishes

Jim

Bob,

I'm very sorry to hear of your circumstances, but I know all to well that we have to do whatever it takes when times are tough. Just to add to Jim's words, what matters at this forum is your knowledge and comaraderie, so please don't be scarce just because you're temporarily without a Jag!

Cheers,

Don

Bob:

Ditto what Jim & Don said. Hard to see these things go, but one has to do what one has to do. May there be a shiny new (to you… preferably an XJ40!) car in your future!

Cheers,
Scott

Sorry to hear that. Though I can understand the tough times issue and have had a rough go these last 8 months or so. I was on the verge of selling my XJ as well.

Keep your head up and I'm sure times will get better and you will find a replacement.

Hi Bob, sorry to hear that. I agree with all the comments above about being welcome with or without a Jaguar.
I do understand,we were in similar predicament a couple of years back and a couple of beloved and long owned 2 wheeled treasures had to go to new homes. It took a while to bounce back but we came through with the XJ6 we all now get enjoyment from.
I hope you get purchase another one in the future.

Jim, Don Scott, Rob, Jeh & Clarke.
Thank you all for your beautiful words, they come as great comfort.
firstly let me say I did not post for the sympathy factor, but merely to share with you all that I no longer have the Jag (hopefully temporary thing) more as a sharing point with fellow enthusiasts.

It is a funny thing, something I suppose we have all felt at some time or another when you must part with something that is important to you for the greater good of your family.

It is definitely one of the hardest things to face, but Nothing, sorry to say not even my Jag is more important than my family and it is something I had little to no choice in.

I will absolutely still be checking in and reading the posts, I feel I have made many good friends on the forums and although my knowledge is still limited I am happy to offer advice whenever I feel I have some to give

Kind regards
Bob
