Im pretty new to owning a Jag and I am having a problem with my starter. I initially thought replacing it myself would be the most viable option. After purchasing a repair manuel and studying the repair it doesnt sound like a plausable job to attempt it myself. Is that chilton repair manuel bull sh**? Or is it accurate

 

so you can get to the starter from the top of the engine, the manuel says that you have to get around the trans to reach it

 

what type of trick tools are you speaking of
