Steering is getting harder and a little louder

Is that usually just low steering fluid?

usually, yes.
But i'd keep an eye on it, as my old 40 sprung leaks all over the place, one by one!

check the fluid first, and if its a little low check the boots on the rack. If theyre soaked its time for a new one.
