Default Those wacky 94's

Checking out the plug lurking behind the battery that caused a fuel pump short on Don's car, I ran across this thing - an RS232 25-pin connector??

Serial port on a 94MY, - ready for the X300??

That really is wacky, Larry!

Our '93 has a data link connector in that vicinity, but IIRC it only has half that many pins. The X300 DLC is a now-standard 36-way OBDII connector at the driver's side A-post. I assume your car is OBDI, but with that connector, I wonder if it could be very early OBDII?

Or else a previous owner had it wired to interface with a flux capacitor for time travel?

When I had a closer look at the harness it is indeed the in-car phone hookup - now - where can I get a 10lb phone ...hmmmm.
