Default Tools

Those of us who have been at it for years will swear by good tools. Most of us have learned the hard way.

Basic jobs on these jags require Torx, Hex and Posi phillips.

Do not skimp and buy any old torx or hex sockets, handled drivers or allen wrenches. Buy quality and durability.

Most of the jobs I have had to do take more time getting the screws and bolts out then the job itself, this is due to previous owners using lousy tools that have stripped the heads.

The jags we deal with in this section use posi phillps head screws, they look like a regular Phillips but they aren't. You can use a Phillips but the insertion part of the head of the screw will start to spread, eventually strip.

For me, when it comes to torx, hex and posi tools I bought the best I could afford, it has made doing repairs actually fun instead of frustrating.

I concur with your thoughts on the tools , however there are some tools that harms the cars own tools that is perched inside the trunk

At least , you can buy find tools for Jaguar because some cars require some tools only exclusively deliberately made for them and you can't fit your Walmart bought hex, torx and such tools for them lol
