I use the Dexron III equivalent from my local Farm & Fleet store. It's super inexpensive and works perfectly.

cheers,
Scott

thanks scott. one more question.. is it detrimental to use full synth? these units are older and perhaps dont like it? just making sure since i have had good results with redline and would put it in this car.

will be doing the intro section once she is in my posession! want to put up some decent pics with it.

I really don't know, sorry. Perhaps one of the techs will chime in.

Cheers!

Having some experience with automatic transmission (but not on these) I would not use a synthetic unless I drained all fluid out as well as TC. I am not a fan of mixing fluid types.

I use Castrol Dex III in mine, as well as four other vehicles. Vehicles that have requirments other than Dex, I use Castrol as well. I have been satisfied with Castrol ATF fluid for a number of years. It is a little more expensive than some store brands, but it is a small price to be confident in the quality.
