Transmission Light
I have a 1990 XJ6 ,and the transmission light comes on (not all the time).
When it does come on it seems to stick in high gear.It will stick until I put
it in neutral and restart the engine.Sometimes after doing this it will clear
up aometimes not. What could make it do this?

RE: Transmission Light
I own a 1994 xj6 and the tranmission light is on also the engine light is on but sometimes goes out. It also seems to be stuck in high gear and the rocker switch that controls the sport mode is not working. I'm not sure if it's the computer for the transmission, transmission module, or relay. Please help so I can order the right part! Thank you.

RE: Transmission Light
Sounds like plenty of people have the same problem and no solution! If any of you guys find out what's wrong, please come back and post the answer so that others can have an idea of what they're up against! However, like usual, our posters come and ask their questions, get an answer(sometimes not), and then leave and never come back. We should call this the prostitute forum, but since we're free, what do we call it?
