Default Upgrade? we'll see!

Thought I'd throw some MORE coin at the ol' VDP ..

This a.m. bought a valentine's gift for her ..a triangular diff monostrut from an X308 to replace the "dog bone" struts ...will give a report when it gets here and installed - we'll see if it really is an improvement!

Default Update

Finally got the new strut on thanks to my bro from Seattle up here on a visit.

Definitely a 2-man job, lots of pry-bar work getting the bolts lined up and re-installed, possibly the same amount of prying involved as the v-mount job?

Anyways it's on and the car is running just fine - not sure that it makes that much difference, my bro co-pilot thinks definitely an improvement but he's a real positive kind of guy!

When we removed the dog-bone struts the bushings were in really good shape, I was expecting a different outcome ....so if anyone needs a pair of them, PM me ...

cheers

Larry

The strut has been in place now for about 5 days and the bushings etc have all had a workout and a chance to "settle in".

the verdict?

Fantastic!! - The back of the car feels way "tighter" - (but not in a harsh way)

Smoother over bumpy roads and just all-round more controlled. I love it!!

Best $40 I ever spent!

cheers

Larry
