Just curious if anyone is at the helm of XJ40.com currently?

The site is still up with relatively new posts being made by users. However I've tried to recover my password several times, but the system is not sending me a reset email as far as I can tell. And I've sent email directly to the operators via the contact info, but no reply.

Don't know, Ive tried to use that site with very little success. That's sad if its shut down.

 

The sysadmin retired a couple of months ago and one of the users took over as webmaster, slowly getting the hang of things AFAIK

The site seems to be working fine. You might want to check your spam folder for password reset emails.

 

Yep, have done that. I've requested a password reset five times over the last week or so, and no email has been received in my inbox, SPAM or elsewhere. I've also tested to see if it will let me enter an incorrect email with the associated userid, but it will not. So the site is using the correct email address.

I've also sent the admins a direct email last week, no response yet.

It's possible that the password reset function is broken, and the admin(s) only check-in periodically or are on vacation. I see that the site itself is still up, and users are posting, but was just curious if anyone knew if the admin(s) were available to reset a password.
