this evening i dismantled the main console, because tomorrow i will bring the car to my mechanic to change the central console AC lights that are almost all blown (i hope the bulbs are still available.....) while studying the procedure of removing the veneer without destroying it i have noticed that in other xj40 photos there isn't' the recirculating switch on the console. I look at many pictures and all photos are without this switch.
The switch is original jaguar and is connected inside to a couple of wires. even in the manual is absent.... maybe someone have this switch too or is an aftermarket mod?

 

I'm not an XJ40 authority but it looks aftermarket. Probably an owner-installed compressor cut-off switch.
