I need a little information..

I have the opportunity to part out a 1973 Jaguar. A guy I know wants to scrap it, but would hold onto it longer if there's enough demand for parts from this particular model. I believe it's an XJ6 model. The underside is rotted terribly, and will probably never be able to be driven or registered again without EXTENSIVE repair work, but MANY parts are in great condition, interior panels etc... body panels, hub caps, lights, grill etc....

Is there any kind of demand for parts from the 1973 era Jaguars?

First off, if you aren't into doing a lot of work, I'd try to sell the car as a project car.
If it is a SI car, it would be worth fixing the underside. Even with huge gaping holes, and structural problems, they can be fixed with thick enough metal and welding. Is it worth it? Who knows. If you know of anyone who has a rotissery, they can swing the car around, and look at the damage and possibly fix it standing up. Finding another old jag frame (intact), and cutting out the necessary metal pieces is a way around metal fabrication. The rocker panel is pretty complex to rebuild. Rusted doors, quarter panels, can all be transplanted easily enough. Rust near the structural points can be fixed, but it might not be worth that effort.
If you are not adverse to getting your hands dirty, start disassembling the car, piece by piece, and cleaning them up. If you list them on ebay, enough of them will sell. Spring and Summer are the best times to list. Even shipping doors, hoods, engine parts, while a pain, will make you money...parts and getting uncommon for those cars, and prices are a bit higher than for S3 cars.
