Are the spacers required to be cooled by coolant when the (hot) EGR system is present and operating ?
i want to remove the lower coolant tube and egr manifold above the spacers.
but, I wonder if coolant is required as a carb heat function for cold and humid conditions?
not sure if the coolant flow is required without EGR. Loos like it’s an EGR function only to cool the carbs when hot exhaust gases are reintroduced in the carbs spacers..
If the coolant flow is not required I plan to keep the spacers and plug the egr holes.
