The front bumper pictured appears to be a modified xj40 bumper. This is a old hot rodders trick...to take a bumper from another model and adapt it for a unique look. I have seen this done one other time.

Could be an aftermarket body kit.......this is an example there appear to be a few types.

Nice looking car Peter.
I bet that initial 800 meter drive won you over.

Oh,and the bonnet isn't latched fully on the right!

I drove it round the block and then bought it, in in the dark with no idea what condition it was in.

Is there any other way to buy a classic?
I drove mine 200 meters up the road and back(it was unregistered). But it was daylight and I was blinded by the beauty. It just won me over.

Hello, Pete, and Welcome to our playroom.

So that's the car that wouldn't pull the on-ramp. Isn't it amazing how these kitties respond to just a little TLC!

I think I drove mine to the end of the guy's driveway before I was smitten. It was a long driveway but still............
No, that's not right. I was smitten when I sat in that leather seat. I made the drive merely to satisfy husband.
