1977 Xj5.3 conversion to X308 or X350 XJR
Hi all,
I'm thinking of upgrading my xj5.3 s2, I would really like to use the interior of an X350 but I don't know if this will fit. I think interior from an x308 will fit, does anybody know?
Since I've been playing with this idea, I'm also more and more considering a complete conversion to an XJR, so including engine, suspension... actually everything except the body. Does anybody know of people who did this? got any thoughts or comments?
If anybody is wondering why I would wanna do this:
1. I love the looks of the xj5.3, but would like some more modern comfort.
2. Interior of my xj is not in the best condition, all new leather interior seems to be as expensive as a semi wrecked modern xjr's with nice interior.
2. The dutch government has a lot of stupid (financial) rules which do not apply to cars over 25 years.
3. Have a lot of time to kill
thanks! Marcel
