Default 1982 xj6 s3 retail price

I'm not sure what a good price to sell mine for. I have a 82 series 3. The odometer is broke at 12000 but 100% positive that it has low mileage maybe around 50,000. The body is in good condition with little rust. The paint is chipped and faded a little on the hood and top portion of the car. It has a new fuel pump and filter, alternator, spark plugs and wires, valve cover gaskets, front and rear pads, all new fluids and battery. The interior is about 7/10. It always starts an drives and the tranny is good. I'm in Cleveland Ohio so it has seen snow. It needs new sway bar links and steering bushings. It has a few small dents but nothing major .Anybody know a good price to sell it for. Thank you

Well, having it sell it "true mileage unknown" probably hurts value. Sounds like a decent car, but they all need a bit at this age! I'd have to guess without seeing detailed pictures $3000 to $3500.

Probably not what you want to hear, but post some pics. How far back to you have with regards to records?

Thanks for the reply. I have all the service records since the original owner. No major repairs just a fuel line, oil changed and a oil valve. I would be happy with 3000. I'll get pictures here soon in the day light. Been tough to sell it though. A lot of lookers but everyone wants to low ball to around 1000-1500

Another important consideration for a jag is the interior. How is the leather, wood, headliner, and carpets??

What's the rust situation and how's the paint?

hi, sorry to burst the bubble but in the condition you describe, the offers you are getting are not lowballing, a Grand is about right for a 1982. Again, sorry, the reality is that these cars have low resale value unless you have a pristine condition example.

Thanks Jose, more concerned about a true value rather than the max I can hope for. Looks like it can be sold soon
