1990 jaguar xj6 won't accept fuel
My friend has a 1990 jaguar xj6. She just starting having an issue where she can't fill up with gas. She said no matter what angle she tries or how slow she tries to pump, it just won't take the fuel. I assume there is some sort of valve that would release pressure. Is this a common issue? How can I fix it for her? This is not a car that she wants to put a lot of money into. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hmmm, I have had cars that do this. When she opens the fuel cap and inserts the nozzle does she hear a whoosh noise?
My XJ40 can sometimes do this depending on the petrol station. Try pulling the nozzle out so it just opens the anti syphon flap and pump very slowly.
From experience the XJ40 is one of the slowest fuel accepting cars I have ever owned. Literally only accepting very slight trigger pressure. 4 cars will clear the next pump in the time it takes me to add fuel to mine.
