Hi all,
My wife just bought a 1985 XJ6 which is in very good cosmetic condition. However there are three problems that I just have no experience with on this type of car. Surely someone out there can offer some advise.

1. The left turn signal indicator in the dashboard blinks one time when you turn it on. After the first blink, I can still hear the relay and the blinkers outside the car are working but the dash light stops flashing after the first blink.

2. Where is the back up light switch located? Can it be adjusted? The back up lights turn on when the shifter is between "P" and "R" but they turn off when the tranny is actually in reverse.

3. The temperature guage works fine with the headlights off but when you turn the lights on, it moves far over to the overheat area. When the car is cold, the gage reads near normal with the lights on and when the car is warm it moves further towards hot.

Other that this, it seems like a great car. Please help!
