4.2L engine running warm when A/C on
A REVELATION ON MY PART! - Found out that my running warm problem while running A/C could be that the A/C condensor, which is in front of the radiator, when it warms up, then warm air is running across the radiator. Duh! And all this time I thought it was because that when the compressor came on, that it put just that much of a strain on the engine to make run warm. So... removed the 12 rubber flaps on the electric fan assembly (which may be a mistake) and reformed the condensor brackets to lower the condensor by 2.5 inches. This allows 2.5 inches of the top of the radiator to be exposed to air coming through it without the condensor in front of it. I'll see if that helps.
I came across this article and read it with great interest. Would love to hear anyone's comments.
