Recommendations for 5” door speakers for a 77 XJC?
I was in the driver’s door today for the first time after buying the car last year, and as I suspected, it still has the original speakers.
I’ve searched aomer, find that fives are rare and some can be eye watering pricey.
Any suggestions?
Successes? Fails?

I think there is a thread here about using 5.25" speakers.

my 1965 S type came from the factory with 5" speakers too, but I was able to fit 5.25" in the same space, no issues. Haven't done it in my XJ-6 because the speakers are still good.
Also you can have the originals reconed if they are blown.
