Default 6 cyl Block corrosion

Hi Everyone

I have the Cylinder head off the car and need to strip the block to have some work carried out, however there is a little corrosion around the cylinder head bolts on the surface of the block that a simple skim will not remove, i know this area will not affect cyl compression but am wondering if i should look for another block or carry on with this one. Other than this corrosion the block is in great shape (Still see original honing marks), no lip anywhere to be found on any cylinder so i would like to keep the original if i can.

Sorry no pictures at the moment..

What do you think?

Thanks

Russell

Thanks Carl...

The head "was" off before Christmas and the hood was in the spare bedroom, with guests for Christmas it all had to go back together for a short time so the head is now resting on the block until i find the energy to strip it all down.
