'86 Vandan Plas XJ6 no start
Did you run your jumper wire to the resistor or directly to the coil "+" post? Just wondering.
Sometimes the resistors give trouble.

Yes, mine did come with that ballast resistor. I have yet to try starting the car without it. I went directly to the ignition Coil Positive post, pinched the jumper wire under the ballast resistor, and tightened it.
Good catch Doug, I missed that.
The New Rock Auto ignition coil should replace both the old ignition coil and it's ballast resistor. If you left the resister in the electrical loop, I suspect there would not be enough current for a spark. A newly manufactured Ignition coil of .9 ohms would not require a resister, the older designed .9 ohm coils needed the ballast resister.
