Default Actuator, underneath the air filter

Hello gents,
Does anyone know what this actuator does and how to test? It goes inline to the breather ventilation hose.
Thanks!

that is the electronic Purge valve that purges fuel gases coming from the Charcoal Canister that come from the Tanks.

Testing should be easy. It's a simple open/closed valve.

Apply 12v to the red wire and ground the white wire. You should hear a click sound.

At the moment I don't recall if it is normally closed or normally open. Need a bit more coffee. Normally closed, I think. But remove the valve and try blowing thru it. Repeat the lung test with the valve powered-up. It should be 100% open or 100% closed.

The purge valve is operated by the temp switch at the rear of the water rail.

Cheers
DD
