Default Another update on the Adventure. She lives!

The transplanted XK engine barked to life tonight on the first start attempt. I didn't run it long with an open header and no radiator attached yet but it responded to choke and settled down to a reasonably smooth idle. I'm still debating on the radiator - the original looks decent but looks like it has cauliflower growing in the passages. We have only one radiator shop in the area and he always seems to say it needs a recore and then quotes a recore for more than buying a new one.

The 12v feed to the fuel pump is dead and so is the fuel pump itself but I expected that. That is the next thing to sort out but I'll worry about that later. Right now I'm content with smelling the exhaust of the dead brought back to life.

the engine back together
