Default air charge sensor wires and spacers

I'm overhauling an XJ6 Series 3 (1984) 4.2 and need the air charge sensor wires and the plastic spacers for the fuel injection seals. I got most of the overhaul parts at Welsh Ent., but they don't have these. I tried British Wiring too. If someone can tell me how to create a "signature" for this profile, that would also help. I submitted a gallery of the car in question, but can't figure out how to upload as signature.

"Air charge sensor"?

Are you referring to the Air Flow Meter?

Anyhow, try David Boger at Everyday XJ

and the plastic spacers for the fuel injection seals.

I think what you might be after is EAC4403...the cone shaped insulator

Just Google the part number, you'll probbaly find several vendors.

No, the mechanic refers to it as the air charge sensor, not the air flow meter. There might be some language issues here. I'll try to get a close-up picture.

Can't make out anything in your pic, sorry

In this pic you see the Air Flow Meter fairly well. It's the cast aluminum device with a square-ish plastic lid, just aft of the round cylindrical air filter housing

In any case I don't know where to get the wiring for it other than sourcing it used. My first though it that the AFM wiring was part of the fuel injection harness...which is readily available brand new....but I'm not sure. It might be a separate sub-harness.

Others with a less-foggy memory will come along.

Cheers

That's the thermal switch for the air switching module.

I *think* the harness is DAC2526

Thanks - I placed the order.

If anyone knows where to get new spacers for the injection seals this would also be useful. I found used ones.

Did you look at the picture in post #2?

Is it the EAC4403 that you need?

If so did you Google the part number to look for vendors?

If that's not what you need can you be more specific?

Cheers
