Hello,
We have recently detected another issue with the XJ6 - S3

The problem with the car is when the engine gets hot and the ignition is turned off, the car never starts unless the engine cools down.

What might be the possible issue now and how do i get it fixed?

Do you mean nothing happens when you turn the key, like the battery is dead? The engine won't "crank"?

Or does it crank OK but not start?

YES, i mean nothing happens when i turn the key, like the battery is dead and the engine won't "crank"

meanwhile i have a strong battery and i have recently replace the alternator which was an issue.
Fire was not able to stay for long but now after timing settings and alternator changed the fire stays on issue is as posted.

Suggestion:

Put as much info in the thread title as possible: "car won't crank when hot" is likely to get you more attention from forum members than "another issue detected". If I read "Series 1 wiper not parking", I'm likely to weigh in because I just fixed mine. If I read "Jag problem" I'll likely skip over the thread.
