My engine light went on with "check gas cap" in the message center.

I opened it and closed it. Engine light is still on.

Sooooooooooooo, I came home and fired up my "autotap" and plugged into the OBD port.

I get "no vehicle detected" as a message.

Connections are good and tight and this works on my lincoln.

Any ideas?

No power to the obdii connector, check all your fuses i dont rememebr off the top of my head which one is for the port
