Default Is anyone familair with Specra fuel tanks?

I'm trying to convert my 75 XJ12C back to petrol. It's currently running on propane and the tanks were removed.
I bought the spectra tanks, JA1c and JA1d which their catalog lists are correct for this car, however, they appear to be different to the tanks in the 79 S2 XJ12L parts car.

Most importantly, the XJ12L tanks (which are rusted through) have two large holes. One of the top of the tank for the filler , the other on the bottom front for the sender. Then a small outlet with a fitting at the bottom of the tank to feed the fuel pump.

On the spectra tank. I have three large holes one on the front, one on the back and one on the top. But no small outlet with a fitting to feed the fuel pump.

If anyone who bought these tanks in the past has a work around, i'd love to hear it.

Thanks

Are these tanks the same shape as the OEM ones ?

I believe when the pump was in the tank, it was at the front. However, I'm not sure when things changed over. Probably Series 2s. The XJ6C was a Series 2 mechanically.

Hi, it's the same shape as the tank that came out of the XJ12L but was missing a fitting. The XJ12C and 12L have a fuel pump in the trunk of the car.

The pump arrangements are confusing because Jaguar used immersed pumps in in the fuel tanks, and also pumps in the spare wheel well. AFAIK, the V12s always had external pumps.

The immersed pumps went in via the hole at the front, accessed via the 6" plates at the back of the wheel arches

If you look at their web page, it says 69-71 cars, (Series 1s)
