I purchased a '71 XJ6 Series 1 that a prior owner put Series 3 back seats into. The seats don't fit right and I'd like to replace them with the original style. I have a source for a good back seat, but it is out of a '79 XJ6 L (Long wheelbase). Does anyone know if the '79 seats will fit in a '71?

Also, the parts car has a really good headliner in it (mine is shot), but because it is an "L", the head liner looks to be about 4 inches longer. Can I cut down the headliner to fit a regular wheelbase car, or would it be better to get a headliner that fits?
